Discover Mongolia

Mongolia is a vast land of wide-open grasslands (called steppes), where nomadic herding families still live in gers (yurts) and move with their animals. The landscape stretches endlessly in all directions with rolling hills, distant mountains, and endless sky. In winter, temperatures drop to bone-chilling cold; in summer, wildflowers bloom across the plains.

The Gobi Desert in southern Mongolia is famous for dinosaur discoveries—paleontologists have found incredible fossils there. The Khangai Mountains and pristine lakes offer mountain beauty. Ulaanbaatar, the capital, is a bustling modern city that sits amid this vast landscape.

Mongolian culture is tied to horses—children ride before they walk, and horseback riding is central to life. The Naadam Festival features wrestling, horse racing, and archery—ancient sports that celebrate Mongolian traditions. Eagle hunting in western Mongolia is an incredible tradition where hunters use golden eagles to catch prey.

Mongolian people are warm and hospitable, with a saying that guests are sacred. The night sky is incredibly clear, with stars seeming close enough to touch. With its vast wilderness, nomadic traditions, and strong connection to nature, Mongolia teaches about living in harmony with the land.
