Discover Palestine
Palestine is one of the most historically and religiously significant places in the world. Situated at the crossroads of Africa, Asia, and Europe, it has been home to humans for hundreds of thousands of years and has been central to three of the world's great religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - for thousands of years.
Jerusalem, a city claimed as holy by all three Abrahamic faiths, contains some of the most sacred sites in the world - the Western Wall (holiest site in Judaism), the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (where Christians believe Jesus was crucified and buried), and the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque (third holiest site in Islam). Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus, draws millions of pilgrims every year. Jericho is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, dating back over 10,000 years. The Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth and so salty you can float effortlessly, borders the region. Palestinian culture is rich and ancient - embroidery (tatreez) is a treasured art form, olive trees are part of the land's identity, and Palestinian cuisine including hummus, falafel, and musakhan has spread around the world. The Palestinian people have a deep connection to their land, culture, and traditions that spans countless generations.
