5. Taj Mahal, India
Located on the right bank of the River Yamuna, in the city of Agra. This ivory white marble tomb, also known as the ‘Crown of the Palace’, was built in 1643. It was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife.
6. Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
This statue of Jesus Christ looks over the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is known as Cristo Redentor, in Portuguese, and is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone. It is 30 metres (98 feet) in height, and the outstretched arms are 28 metres (92 feet) wide.
