Discover Germany
Germany is the largest country in Central Europe and the most populous member of the European Union, with over 84 million people. Located at the heart of the continent, it shares borders with nine countries — more than any other European nation — making it a crossroads of European history, culture, and trade.
Germany has the largest economy in Europe and the fourth largest in the world. It is a global leader in engineering, automotive manufacturing — home to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Audi — as well as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy. The country is also one of the world's biggest exporters.
Germany is a land of deep cultural richness — famous for its classical music tradition (Beethoven, Bach, Brahms), its philosophy (Kant, Goethe, Nietzsche), and its engineering precision. The country was reunified in 1990 after 45 years of division, and today Berlin stands as one of Europe's most vibrant and creative capitals.

Flag of Germany
Germany's flag features three horizontal bands of black, red, and gold — the colours of the liberal movement in 19th-century Germany. The tricolour was officially adopted for the Federal Republic in 1949.
🏟️ The History of German Football
Germany's football story begins with one of sport's greatest upsets — the "Miracle of Bern" in 1954. West Germany defeated the seemingly unbeatable Hungary 3-2 in the World Cup final, a result so joyful it became a symbol of national rebirth. They won again on home soil in 1974, with Franz Beckenbauer lifting the trophy as captain — he would later win it as manager in 1990.
The 1990 World Cup in Italy was Germany's third triumph — a reunification-era team captained by Lothar Matthäus defeating Argentina in the final. Then came the long wait, broken spectacularly in 2014 when Miroslav Klose broke the all-time World Cup scoring record and Mario Götze's extra-time winner in the final capped a breathtaking 7-1 demolition of Brazil in the semi-final.
Germany have also been runners-up four times (1966, 1982, 1986, 2002) — making their eight finals appearances the most of any European nation, and a record of consistency that stands alone in the history of the game.
